Hartcliffe Health and Environment Action Group is an established local community group that supports a range of projects in South Bristol with the aim of improving the lives of local people by actively engaging residents in both health related and environmental projects. Their vision is for local people to receive the same opportunity as all other communities to live fulfilled, healthy and happy lives in a cared for environment. As part of these objectives kitchen facilities were installed to help local people improve their health by developing skills in nutrition and cooking. The project would have been blighted had a cost effective alternative not been available to overcome the limitations of traditional gravity drainage.
