Top Sanishower FAQs

What is a Sanishower ? »
Sanishower is suitable only for pumping away waste water from a shower or wash basin. For hot pumped soapy waste water (eg washing machine etc) use a Sanivite or if it is for a commercial application Sanispeed or Sanicom. Sanivite, Sanispeed and Sanicom are specifically designed for accepting hot soapy waste water pumped from washing machines, dishwashers or other applicances.
do you have to dig up the floor ? »
As the function of the units is to pump waste and water away, it should not usually be necessary to dig up the floor to lay the discharge pipework. It is possible to run the pipework from low level to a higher level e.g. from a basement to ground floor level, or from 1st floor up into a roofspace and then join to a soil stack
Are they very noisy? »
The Saniflo pumps/macerators are not in themselves very noisy and the sound of operation is generally not invasive. However, noise levels can be increased due to sympathetic resonance from stud partitions, floor voids etc.

To keep noise levels to a minimum we recommend that you sit the unit on some carpeting/rubber matting/underlay. Also please make sure that the unit is not tight up against either the WC pan or the wall.
